Wandering the World: Red Rock Park

Wandering the World: Red Rock Park

The first part of our day was lovely!  We passed interesting Indian Villages and made decent time.

Then we hit the storms.  It was crazy!

It was not safe to drive, so we ended up finding a little old airport tower museum that wasn't open, but had some things to look at and read and gave the kids a chance to stretch their legs.  Thanks TripAdvisor!

We ended up at a little secluded park set back in these amazing red rocks.  We planned to try and hike a little, but the rain made it more trecherous than we were set up for.  Instead we enjoyed a day of just resting and then we took the kids out to explore the rocks once the rain had passed.  It was a much needed down day after lots of days of consecutive travel.
